What I Love: Sewing Supplies

Here’s a list of my favorite sewing supplies & where you can get them.

  • Fabric: Spoonflowerhttps://www.spoonflower.com/.  Nothing is more satisfying than being able to find exactly what you’re looking for when it comes to fabric design. Spoonflower works with pattern designers from all over the world whose artistic offerings can be printed onto a variety of textiles. My go-to fabric type for my projects is their Petal Signature Cotton. Shipping is reasonable & typically very fast.
  • Sewing Machine: Singer Quantum Stylist 9960. I’ve owned this machine since January 2021 and have used it exclusively on all my projects since then. Not once have I had an issue or complaint – it is fabulous!
  • Needles, Thread, Hardware, Zippers: Wawakhttps://www.wawak.com/. Excellent selection of practically every sewing supply you can imagine. Absolute best pricing on zippers! Super quick & affordable flat rate shipping.
  • Interfacing: Walmarthttps://www.walmart.com/.  No kidding! Walmart has the lowest prices that I’ve found on interfacing by the bolt – particularly Pellon fusible fleece, which is one of the most-used items in my bag making process.
  • Odor-free Self-Healing Cutting Mat: Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/.  I’ve had two of these so far & don’t want to endorse a specific brand, but getting one that is odor-free is key for those of us with sensitive noses. Amazon has the best prices & selection.
  • Pilot Frixion Erasable Pens & Highlighters: Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/.  These are such a life saver for marking fabric because they disappear with the heat of your iron. Amazon has tons of colors & styles.

Happy sewing!
